In the Naruto series, there are many jutsus that have unique and special names and ways to use them.
Usually the names of jutsu in Naruto are short and quite easy to read, however there are also some techniques with long names that make readers find it difficult to pronounce.
1. Kotoamatsukami
Kotoamatsukami is said to be one of the strongest genjutsu in the ninja world. The name Kotoamatsukami originates from Japanese mythology. This phrase refers to the five Shinto deities that existed long ago and are the most important deities in Japanese mythology.
This genjutsu can only be used by Shisui Uchiha or the owner of his Mangekyou Sharingan eye. Kotoamatsukami has the ability to control another person’s mind, making that person unable to even realize they are being controlled.
This genjutsu allows the user to penetrate the minds of others and thereby create virtual experiences and memories that make the person affected by the genjutsu feel like it was something they did themselves. They don’t even know that they are being hit by magic.
It is worth mentioning that this magic takes 10 years to reactivate. And the long name Kotoamatsukami is quite difficult to read, and can easily cause typing errors or misspellings.
2. Amenotejikara
After obtaining the Rinnegan eye from Hagoromo’s chakra, Sasuke was able to use a time and space technique, called Amenotejikara. The essence of Amenotejikara is to help users swap their places with anything, regardless of distance, as long as they can see it. Sasuke once used it to teleport from Kaguya’s other world to Sakura’s location.
Amenotejikara was originally based on the name of Ameno Tajikarao, the god who pulled Amaterasu out of her hiding cave, so that light could shine throughout the world again. Legend has it that he is a god of sports, with superhuman and outstanding physical strength.
But apparently, the name Amenotejikara is quite difficult to pronounce, especially for those who do not speak Japanese.
3. Shikotsumyaku
Shikotsumyaku – Corpse Bone Vein is a Kekkei Genkai of the extinct Kaguya clan, it gives the user the ability to control their bone structure. By integrating calcium into their chakra, they can control the growth and properties of their bones at will.
This technique allows the user to create weapons from bones that can protrude from any part of the body, or be extracted to use as a hand weapon. Even creating thick bone armor under their skin.
Listening to the introduction, this jutsu is quite interesting, but its name is really confusing for readers. Shikotsumyaku is like a play on Japanese words.
4. Rasen Senkou Cho Rinbuko Sanshiki
By throwing six marked Kunai behind his target, Minato can teleport quickly to where he needs to be while attacking the target from many different directions. The name of this technique given by Minato is Rasen Senkou Cho Rinbuko Sanshiki. It’s true that the Yondaime’s style of naming ninjutsu is so cumbersome.
5. Shippu Jinrai: Iso no Hitotachi
When Kurama was encased in Susanoo’s armor, the nine-tailed fox wielded a sword and when the fox swung the sword, the technique was called Shippu Jinrai: Iso no Hitotachi. The name means “Majestic Sword Swing”. At first glance, this technique will seem easy to name, but in fact it is more complicated than we think.
6. Shakuton: Korin Shippu Shikkoku no Ya Zeroshiki
Naruto and Sasuke can combine the Rasengan’s wind element and Amaterasu’s fire element into a new jutsu. Unofficially, Minato called this technique Shakuton: Korin Shippu Shikkoku no Ya Zeroshiki, which briefly means “Wtorn and Black Flame”.
This is an unofficial name because it’s too long, but in the game, the name of this combination technique is called Shakuton: Korin Shippu Shikkoku no Ya Zeroshiki.
7. Ninpo Sozo Saisei: Byakugo no Jutsu
The Hundred Hao Technique is a forbidden technique created by Tsunade that helps the user store a large amount of chakra for a long time on the forehead. When using Bach Hao Thuat, you must activate the seal on your forehead and ink-like marks will appear on your face and body.
In this form, its name is Ninpo Sozo Saisei: Byakugo no Jutsu. The name is indeed long, but the most “unbearable” part is the word play Sozo Saisei.
