Portugal real estate investment news – Cristiano Ronaldo is building a mansion that is deemed to be the most expensive one in Portugal.

Cristiano Ronaldo is building a new luxury mansion in Cascais, that is just outside the Lisbon city center, at a cost of over EUR 20 million. However, since construction costs soared by 70%, due to the increase in the price of construction materials, the house is expected to be twice the initial amount budgeted.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s new real estate investment in Portugal comprises a modern mansion of 899 square meters that is nestled within a plot of land in Cascais that measures 8,991 square meters.

The extravagant property that is designed by architect Vítor Vitorino will have four floors and will be very modern with panoramic glass windows overlooking the Atlantic. The mansion will include a cinema room, a gym, a football field, and large garages to store the collection of 30 luxury cars owned by Ronaldo.

A property in Cascais, that is located along the Atlantic coast just outside the Lisbon city center, costs EUR 3,902/m2. While it is one of the most expensive municipalities in Lisbon, it costs less than a property in the city center where real estate costs EUR 4,275/m2, since house prices in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area have increased by 11.1% compared to 2022.

In addition to the new luxury mansion of 899 square meters that he is building in Cascais at a cost of over EUR 20 million, Cristiano Ronaldo also owns an apartment on Lisbon’s main avenue where all the luxury boutiques are located, Avenida da Liberdade, as well as the most expensive penthouse ever sold in Portugal that is located on Rua Castilho in Lisbon. Portugal’s football star also owns a building in Funchal on the island of Madeira, where his mother and older brother live.

Cristiano Ronaldo is building an extravagant mansion in Lisbon’s upmarket beachfront area, Quinta da Marinha, in Cascais. Cascais is just a short distance from the Lisbon city-center with the additional advantages of the golden beaches, the surfing spots, and golf courses, while being close to the forested Sintra mountains that are studded with ancient palaces. The trendy Portuguese Riviera borders the Atlantic and is home to Portuguese expats and celebrities.

While construction on Cristiano Ronaldo’s four-story mansion in Portugal started 3 years ago, it is not expected to be completed before June 2024. Meanwhile, Ronaldo is busy looking for a new chef to cater for his large family, Georgina Rodríguez and the couple’s young children: Bella Esmeralda, Alana Martina, Eva, Mateo, and Cristianinho. However, the football star is not expected to move into his extravagant mansion before the end of his contract with Al Nassr, that is not before 2025.
