‘It’s brilliant. I actually went up to [Benioff and Weiss] and thanked them. I was like, ‘That’s a scene I’ve been waiting for!’ Because I get a lot of crap for having done nude scenes and sex scenes.
The classically trained actress went on to voice her disappointment at being judged by other women in particular.
‘That, in itself, is so anti-feminist. Women hating on other women is just the problem. That’s upsetting.’

Despite her disappointment, Emilia no longer sees the need to explain her decision to do nude scenes, she told the Huffington Post last month.
‘There are plenty of ways in which people want me to respond to questions about this fact. And plenty of reasons why I do not feel the need to justify myself,’ she said.
When discussing the character that kick started her career, Emilia spoke with a proud affinity to the Daily Telegraph.
‘Daenerys is a strong and powerful woman. One of the most compelling aspects to her is that she combines the strength of a man with the sensitivity of a woman.’
