Dustin Poirier is ready to complete his tetralogy of fights with Conor McGregor.
‘The Diamond’ is 2-1 against McGregor after losing their first encounter at featherweight in 2014 before winning a pair of contests at lightweight in 2021.

‘Notorious’ has repeatedly called for a fourth bout with his rival after their UFC 264 matchup ended in inconclusive circumstances as he suffered a fight-ending injury.
More than two years later, McGregor is finally ready to return, and it’s believed he will face Michael Chandler in the first half of 2024.
However, Poirier is willing to fight the Irishman again if called upon.
“I probably would try to shut him up once and for all,” he told Megan Olivi at UFC Vegas 82 on Saturday night.
“Even if I slap his a** around again he’s still going to be chatting, so, we’ll see.
“Is him and Chandler official? I don’t know what’s going on.”
If it’s not McGregor, the Louisiana native is unsure who will be next as there appears to be a queue forming for a shot at Islam Makhachev’s 155lb title.
“If [Charles] Oliveira’s getting the fight against with [Islam] Makhachev, [Justin] Gaethje’s going to be next,” Poirier said.

“He’s going to sit out and wait for that because he’s guaranteed himself a shot, so how long is that going to take, you know?
“So, I’ve got to fight somebody, it just depends on who the biggest fight I can make is.”
Regardless of opponent, Poirier knows exactly what event he wants to fight at after taking some time away from MMA following his head-kick knockout loss against Gaethje in July.
He added: “I’ve been thinking about [UFC] 300.
“I think that’s a big event, you know?
“Like I said in another interview, I missed [UFC] 200, I’m not going to be around for [UFC] 400, so that would be like, pretty cool for me.”
