A 23-year-old African lady named Selawoe Aku Sika Ahetor has bagged a master’s degree at Accra Business School and was awarded seven notable awards as the overall best-graduating student of the institution.
Selawoe obtained her masters degree in Business at Accra Business School in Ghana. She was presented with seven medals and certificates for her outstanding performance which prompted a standing ovation from her students and lecturers.
She also won the award as the overall best graduating student of the graduating set. Selawoe shared her achievement on her Instagram stating that it is a testament to God’s grace.
She attributed her success to her resilience and hard work, despite the challenges of growing up in a broken home.
”I want to be seen as that imperfect 23-year-old from a broken home with a lot of emotional scars and beyond-age experience, but a resilient heart.I choose to put in the work regardless,” she said.
Selawoe stated that when she enrolled in the program, she had no idea how she was going to pay her tuition fees because she had no job or helper to assist her but she was determined to complete her master’s at the age of 23.
”A year ago I did not even know how I was going to pay my fees because I was just done with my NSS and I had no job neither did I have any money but I took a leap of faith,” she said.
Selawoe mentioned that though it was challenging she made sure to sacrifice a lot of things and also made her education a priority. ”Those bridges were the hardest to cross because that’s where the principle of sacrifice and priority comes to play,” she said.
She encouraged others to remain determined stating that there’s nothing they cannot achieve so far as they put their mind to it. Selawoe also bagged her bachelor’s degree with first class at the University of Ghana.
