The First Wives Club star mourned the death of the Hollywood actor
Goldie Hawn has paid her respects following the sad death of fellow Hollywood star Hal Holbrook, who tragically died at the age of 95.
The Oscar-nominated actor known for playing Deep Throat in All the President’s Men, passed away on 23 January, and the news was announced on Tuesday.
Goldie and Hal worked alongside each other on the 1974 comedy-drama film The Girl from Petrovka, and the mother-of-three wrote a heartfelt tribute to the actor on Instagram.
Alongside a black-and-white photo of the pair, Goldie wrote: “Paying homage to Hal Holbrook, one our great actors and for me personally the most wonderful, kind and generous co-star. Rest up Hal, you have some good work to do in heaven.”
The post was liked over 70,000 times by stars including Courteney Cox, while many fans commented on Goldie’s touching words.

The pair went on their first date on Valentine’s Day in 1983, and have never been happier. Fans often ask why the couple haven’t tied the knot, but Goldie told People in December that they are more than happy just being together without a certificate to prove their love for each other.

“It’s okay. It’s not about marriage. It’s about the people and the relationship, and the will to stay together. And it’s a big one because if you want it, you an have it.
