And the Colombian playmaker won’t travel to England alone – he will be accompanied by his stunning girlfriend Gera Ponce.

The Reds look to have beaten Tottenham to the signature of Diaz.

Antonio Conte had been confident that the 25-year-old would join Spurs, but talks between the two parties stalled during the week, allowing Liverpool to swoop in for their man.

The £37.5million deal will include add-ons, but it’s considerably less than Diaz’s release clause.

Diaz and Ponce met as teenagers, and their relationship is believed to have started in 2016.

Ponce, who like Diaz was born in La Guajira, holds a bachelors degree in economics from a local university.

After obtaining the qualification she followed Diaz to Portugal in 2019, when he moved to Porto from Colombian side Junior.

Ponce has remained in Portugal as her significant other has electrified the Estadio do Dragao.

Ponce has built up a following of over 122,000 followers on Instagram.

And she regularly delights fans with snaps updating her thousands of followers on her life.

However, in recent months, those snaps have largely focused on Diaz’ new baby girl: Roma.

The pair welcomed the addition to their family last November.

Ponce followed Diaz to Portugal
