Lizzo knows how to make a splash.
Over the weekend, the pop star became the latest celebrity to rock one of designer Di Petsa’s sheer styles, fittingly dubbed “wet look” dresses.
On her way to Kanye West and Drake’s Free Larry Hoover concert at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, she put a Sєxy spin on a sheer design from the label’s spring/summer 2022 collection.
Her liquid-inspired look included a white corset and skirt with the brand’s distinctive draping and sтιтching technique – which makes dry recycled mesh appear drenched.
Completing the all-white outfit, the “Truth Hurts” hitmaker, 33, accessorized with a pair of platform sneakers and a small (albeit not as microscopic as her iconic tiny purses) Louis Vuitton bag.
She’s certainly not the only celebrity to dive into the “wet look” trend with Di Petsa pieces created by designer Dimitra Petsa; A-listers like Kylie Jenner, Megan Fox, Megan Thee Stallion, Bella Hadid and Kacey Musgraves — to name just a few — have all sported similarly sheer styles.
Gigi Hadid was one of the first to pose in the sensual look, baring her baby bump last year in a series of maternity pH๏τos before giving birth to daughter Khai.
“Our goal in fashion is to allow people to be unashamedly wet,” Petsa previously told Page Six Style of her designs, which are inspired by “the way that we treat our bodily fluids” and can take “anywhere from three to eight weeks” to handcraft in her atelier.
