A brilliant 13-year-old Nigerian boy named Musa Sani has won an award to embark on his university education at any university in the United States after building the replica of a flyover bridge in Borno, North-East, Nigeria.
Musa Sani’s spectacular clay construction went viral on social media in 2021, prompting many Nigerians and observers around the world to marvel at his exceptional creativity. Omasoro Ovie, the Nigerian man who first shared Musa’s story revealed that the 13-year-old has been offered a scholarship to study in the United States.
He also revealed that the sponsors of Musa’s award also offered to employ his Father, and fund his Mother and all his siblings to attain quality education.
“Ronchess Global Resources will employ Musa Sani’s father also and give the mother N1m to start a business while getting the family a new apartment. The boy’s siblings will all be put through school by the firm, and Musa will be given a university scholarship to the USA,” Ovie wrote on Twitter.
Musa was also awarded a 5 million Naira scholarship by the Government of his state – Borno State, Nigeria to sponsor his secondary school education before moving to the United States for his university education.
The State governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum revealed funds for his full secondary education have been paid to a private institution in the state. A cheque of Five Million and Twenty Nine Thousand Naira (N5,029,000) which had already been paid was presented to the boy by the State’s Education Trust Fund (ETF) Chairman.
